- new data generated from analysis of real incidents.
- Innovative methods for the collection of human factors data.
ii) Computer
simulation models:
For example, papers describing:
- new evacuation/pedestrian models that utilise a NOVEL or NEW approach to modelling movement and/or behaviour.
- new human behaviour modelling capabilities within existing evacuation/pedestrian models.
- new insights into our understanding of human behaviour and performance in evacuation/pedestrian situations derived through computer simulations.
iii) Engineering human behaviour in practice:
For example,
papers describing:
- translating theory into practice.
- challenging human behaviour issues in engineering design e.g. use of elevators for evacuation, vulnerable groups, etc
- regulatory challenges associated with engineering human behaviour.
